Hey, I am an east coast born lady........almost 58 years old and I remember hearing about the Crips when I was in high school........thankfully where I grew up there were no gangs.  I just want to have a little say about Tookie and about all criminals~~ It has been too long, if a death penalty is warranted, then it should be timely, then at least society could say the person was punished for their transgressions, but 25-30 years after the crime....there is really no punishment, I know that I have changed drastically over the years and there is no reason to think that Tookie hasn't changed also. If the sentence wasn't carried out by now, it should be commuted to life without parole, it is immoral to put this or any man to death after this much time.
